LEGALIZATION OF DOCUMENTS

One of the most notable events in the world of offshore business since the beginning of this year was the active promotion of the Prime Minister's own initiatives to fight tax evasion in offshore zones.
At the recent plenary session of the Federation Council were made by Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov. In his report he expressed a negative attitude to the idea of a ban on the use of offshore state-owned companies and companies with state participation in equity.
The financial turmoil of Cyprus, coupled with increasing pressure from the governments of the leading countries of Europe and the world in offshore jurisdictions is forcing many businesses to look for more reliable alternatives.
Documents issued and having legal force in the territory of one foreign state can be used in the territory of another foreign state only after a corresponding ID, unless otherwise stipulated by international treaties which participants are the States.
There are two main ways of legalization of documents for use in foreign country
Consular legalization is confirmation of compliance documents to the legislation of their state of origin and represents the certification

In order to simplify the process of recognition of foreign documents in 1961 in the Hague the Netherlands signed a Convention abolishing the requirement of legalization for foreign public documents Hague Convention. For the Russian Federation entered into force on 31 may 1992. In accordance with the Hague Convention on the documents executed by the competent authorities of a foreign state and is intended for use on the territory of another state is affixed with a special stamp - Apostille.
The Apostille is usually in the form of a square with sides at least 9 cm.

The apostille certifies the authenticity of the signature, quality in which the person signing the document and where appropriate the identity of the seal or stamp which the document bears.
